First Shower Gifts
I'm in on my shower, meaning I told my mother, "Please no surprises." I don't think I handle the element of surprise ever so gracefully, so I thought it would be best to be in the know. I'm excited to say that the shower is right around the corner, in September. Let the wedding festivities begin!
Owning a house already means we already have the basics, they might not be the finer things but they get us by. The first thought of registering scared me, after warming up to it a bit I've found it to be pretty fun! John and I are registered at Macy*s and Williams-Sonoma. I took some really useful advice from one of my brides, Carolyn. I loved the idea of registering for the same flatware for both the fine china and everyday dishes--it all matches.
Today our very first set of gifts came in the mail and it was such a fantastic surprise! This past weekend we went to one of John's friends house for a party, and since she can't make it to the shower she too gave us our Vera Wang Duchesse Crystal Toasting Flutes! Of course the packaging was so pretty, I had to take a few pictures.
Here are our toasting flutes for the wedding day, that also match our crystal (which I was on the fence about registering for, but eventually came to the conclusion that it will look nice with our china and we'll be happy that we have it).
Williams-Sonoma's wrapping is so pretty, clearly I had a blast taking pictures of it.
Here are some of our Apilco Dinnerware pieces. I'm so excited to upgrade from our chipped Ikea dinnerware (that I originally bought when I went to Hallmark Photography School). The bowl on the left is the Tulip Serving Bowl, it couldn't be any cuter!!

Dog Wedding Attire
I badly want Roxy to be at our wedding, however the logistics and her excitement makes me think otherwise. I was just browsing the web and found the cutest doggie clothing and had to share!
I love the tails!
Deena & Louis's Wedding @ The Inn at Longshore
August 6, 2010 WEDDINGS
Deena and Louis were married on Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. Rita's Church in Hamden, Connecticut. The celebration followed at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut. Scroll to the bottom of this entry to find the link for Deena and Louis's wedding day slideshow.
I loved Deena's color combo : blue and hot pink (cool and warm make a strong color combination for photos). And of course I adore the hot pink shoes!
I love the next four images, Deena and Louis are adorable! Props to Jason for grabbing these!
Planning a wedding isn't always a walk in the park, There is a lot to think about and a lot to do. I'm also suppose to be looking my best, which I suppose doesn't include standard protocol jeans, tee shirts, nor flip flops.
My Mother is now planning my shower to be held in September, yes I know all about it. I recently went shopping for a dress, which I found to be a challenge. I would like to stand out, but not too much. I ended up buying this BCBG dress below at Lord and Taylor.
The shoes I ended up buying off of Zappos (my favorite shoe site). They're Badgley Mishka, and I feel for the flowers on the front.
