Meet Dillon Josef, a ten day young newborn boy. Parents Caitlin and Ryan are neighbors of mine, and I couldn't be happier for them.
Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
CT Family Portraits: Daffodils in April
April 23, 2011 PORTRAITS
Daffodils in April is a perfect time for portraits. I've been wanting to take pictures for at least three years at Laurel Ridge in Litchfield, CT. My best friend Sarah and her family were up for the daffodil pictures, and I'm thrilled to share this blog entry.
Here are a few of my favorite images. Enjoy!
My model family, Barry, Sarah, Emersyn, and Lauryn. Miss Eme below really knows how to strike a pose!
Eme is an amazing big sister, and did so well during pictures. She was so focused.
I talked Sarah and Barry into a few pictures of themselves, Barry knows how to make the ladies laugh!
Honeymoon in Hawaii Part III: Maui
April 22, 2011 PERSONAL
Maui was our last stop, and it was full of sun and relaxation. The weather couldn't have been any more perfect in Maui. It was wonderful.
The first night we were there, we landed in time to do something--so the day prior to arriving in Maui I made reservations for the Feast at Lele. We had a blast at the luau, another great recommendation.
I got the dress above in Kauai--John helped pick it out. This would be considered formal Hawaiian wear, as fancy as it gets.
The picture above and below were taken both by my handy point and shoot, both from parking lots (believe it or not). The sunsets in Hawaii are stunning, and good light happens anywhere.
Had to include this picture below, since this is where we spent the majority of our time in Maui, relaxing by the pool at the Hyatt.
This was our last day in Hawaii and it was wonderful and magical and I'm so happy we went there for our honeymoon. This night we had our last meal at Mama's Fish House, which was one of John's friend's recommendations. It was outstanding, drinks, meals, and dessert were all fabulous! If you're in Maui, you have to have a meal there.
Hawaii Honeymoon Part II: Kauai
April 22, 2011 PERSONAL
They say that the Kauai is the lushest of Hawaiian Islands, which goes hand in hand with rain. John and I were in Hawaii during their rainy season, we saw lots of liquid sunshine in Kauai. We stayed at The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas, which was beautiful.
Here are a few pictures of Kauai, all taken with my point and shoot camera.
I was terrified on that tin can of a plane. This is overlooking Oahu.
Secret beach was AWESOME!!!
Smear on my waterproof camera box due to sunscreen, makes a nice effect sans photoshop.
Tunnels beach was pretty fun, but the rain drove us away after a hour.
We cruised the Na Pali Coast, beautiful! The sun would have helped me here, add a little drama to the cliffs--but this is how we saw the coast.
Sunset at The Beach House Restaurant, thank you Sarah for the recommendation. Best meal we had in Kauai!
Picture above is just proof that the sun did come out in Kauai, on our way to the airport headed to Maui next!
Hawaii Honeymoon Part I: The Big Island (of Hawaii)
April 20, 2011 PERSONAL
The first leg of our honeymoon in Hawaii was on http://www.gohawaii.com/big-island. John and I stayed at Hilton Waikoloa Village, which was like Disneyland (tram, dolphins, boat rides). Our favorite feature of the hotel was one of the on property restaurants, Kamuela Provision Company - KPC. It has fabulous food and breathtaking views overlooking the water. Below are a few pictures from our first stop in Hawaii. Enjoy!
Above image was taken on Saddle Road, on the way home from Volcanoes National Park.
Again, taken on Saddle Road.
Sunset view from our hotel room balcony.
Orchids and other flower images taken at Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden.
Above image taken at Waialea Bay (Beach 69)
On our way to KPC for sunset dinner!
More pictures will be on the blog soon from parts two and three of our honeymoon.
