Big Sister Maya introduces Little Sister Nora
November 23, 2010 PORTRAITS
Jamie and Matt's family is growing and I am so happy to be able to photograph their beautiful family. Jamie and Matt married back in 2005, their wedding was my first official Alissa Dinneen Photography wedding and it will never be forgotten. The day before the wedding was a huge snow storm, it made the most gorgeous backdrop for pictures the day of their wedding at The Copper Beech Inn.
These days Jamie and Matt are welcoming their second daughter into their family. Here are a few of my favorite images. Enjoy!
Maya is a total ham. She's 3.5+ years old and she's super smart and so much fun to be around. She's going to be a great role model for her little sister Nora.
Sue and Ken's Fall Wedding @ Saint Clements Castle

Sue and Ken were married on Friday, November 5th at http://www.saintclementscastle.com/ in Portland Connecticut. Sue got ready at one of my favorite hotels/inns here in Connecticut, the Inn at Middletown.

Here are a few of my favs. Enjoy!
Sue and Ken used one of my favorite colors to photograph, red! I love all the red, fall details!
Sue's hair and make-up team was from Naomi Martinez's Salon and Studio, a personal favorite of mine!
Cakes by Donna, a Connecticut favorite.
The groom's cake was made by Charm City Cakes, from Baltimore.
The DJ services were provided by After Hours DJ Entertainment.
Alissa's Shower @ Woodridge Lake (Goshen)
My bridal shower took place several months ago and I'm finally at a point where I can blog about it. I had a fabulous wedding season and I'm excited that from today's date, the second wedding that I go to will be my own (I've had a little countdown in my head).
The shower took place at a very special place to the Dinneen Family, Woodridge Lake in Goshen, Connecticut. My parents bought property at "the lake" the year I was born, 1979. Every summer my parents, sister, and I would make day trips to the lake, often bringing friends and family along. Ali (my sister) and I would often be found swimming in the pool, and when that closed we would move onto swimming in the lake.
I never knew the meaning of, "It goes by so fast" until the day of my shower. I honestly don't remember much, so we are hiring a videographer for the day of the wedding.
Jason was there to take pictures for me, here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
The shower was not a surprise, I told my mother that I needed to know. Being that I don't like being in the spotlight, having some control over knowing was a relief.
The centerpieces were hydrangeas, my favorite summer flower! The image on the left is a photo cube; the top had the day's menu and the rest of the sides were covered in images from the lake. Fina, my future Mother-In-Law noticed that I still have that move (the shoulder shrug).
Favors made by Cookie Creatives by Jennifer coordinated with the table names, these are for the bathing beauties table.
Right hand side picture, shoulder shrug.
My best friend Sarah making a toast, Emersyn her daughter (my Godchild) on my lap.
Eme helped bring me my first gift to open, from her! A sugar bowl from my sweet flower girl, seriously how cute is that kid!
Here are the girls: Matron of Honor Sarah, Flower Girl Eme, Bride Alissa (whoa!), and Maid of Honor Ali (sister). Eme sure can strike a pose!
Left side dear friends : Jeff and Lisa Right Side : the moms
I love a good dysfunctional family portrait, this is so typical of my sister and myself. I may look ridic, but this says it best.
The gifts before and after. I did not even THINK for a second about the shower aftermath. The house was a hot mess, and there are stickers on EVERYTHING. Every piece of china, everything. Be warned, be prepared, take the next day or two off.
John and Alissa's Guest Signature Book
John and I had our engagement pictures taken back in March, and I've finally had a chance to really enjoy them. I loooove them and am so excited to get in my guest signature book. Check out the layout below: clean and simple. I went with the 8.5x11 inch sized book.
All images taken by Alternate Angles.
The colors of the wedding are gray (what the girls are wearing) with accents of a light blue (see "&" below). The font used is similar to what's going to be on the invites...small detail, I'm into it.
I knew this picture had to be near the end of the book, however the next one had to be the closer!
